Dear Colleagues,

 

I have just sent out a Doctors’ Fee Survey Questionnaire by mail to each and every doctor colleague.  I am sure you are aware that the Government is planning to consult widely on medical charging with a view to strengthen regulating on charge transparency.  The Consumer Council has on 6 March 2025 released their study report on “Price Transparency in Healthcare: Fostering Consumer Trust and Value”.  Understandably, the community may view on doctor’s fee charging with skepticism.

The Doctors’ Fee Survey aims to present the facts to society on how doctors’ fees are charged.  Data speaks for itself.  Your participation is of paramount importance.  The survey is anonymous.  Each uniquely numbered questionnaire has been placed randomly into its envelop by a third party that we engaged.

I beg all doctor colleagues who receive the questionnaire to promptly reply using the enclosed return envelop.  I beg all non-doctor colleagues to encourage your doctor colleagues to fill in the questionnaire and return it to us on or before 25 March 2025.  Thanks and most grateful!
